Excellent summary of the takeaways this week! I thought you did an excellent job summarizing the key takeaways from David Phillips’ Death by PowerPoint video. Using concise language throughout your post kept it informative and digestible. My understanding of cognitivism in learning theories differs because it is a lens through which we view learners as strategic thinkers and leveraging these mechanisms to improve learning. With that being said, you clearly emphasize the point is to improve learning through mechanisms such as reducing cognitive load in PowerPoint presentations.
